Leeds native Imajika arrives on In:flux and brings with him his debut EP for the label, showcasing three tracks that are steeped in influence from the cities amazing sound system culture. 'Cap'n Morgan', 'Glockin Out' and 'Spare Change' all showcase real hard hitting sound design and immaculate drum work that'll grip the dancefloor and get them moving.

On remix duty we see the return of J. Kong to the label plus heavyweight producer Arkwright stepping up. Both producers have put their own unique spin on their tracks, with J. Kong going for a stripped back viber of 'Glockin Out' whilst Arkwright has gone for a sub-heavy version 'Spare Change' that had us leaning back in our chairs.

Love the layering of dance hall mc samples on those persian strings, and anthemic spaghetti western score strumming, over that heavy groove. Just solid through & through. Melancholic nostalgic feel sounds sort of sad, sort of heavy perfect for late night cruising through parts unknown. sergentor
